Abstract
  • Preachers have the occasion to communicate harmony and to bring a state of unity as a cherished community in Christ within the Church and community at large through preaching. This thesis presents a functional, conceptual, and theological approach to preaching for oneness in souls who have been affected by incarceration and in the conflicted church as a guide inspiring repair, renewal, and restoration in the communal body of Christ. The work is practical in helping to influence the congregation toward recovery in the wake of inadequate relationships in the current congregation by changing interpersonal, intrapersonal, and philosophical procedures.
