  • This research project examines how Islamic-based parenting strategies are employed in the contemporary West, with an emphasis on how they impact children’s social and emotional growth. Based on the Islamic Prophetic model, which divides parenting into three seven-year increments that emphasize distinct features, this effort attempts to investigate how aligning parenting techniques to these increments contributes to nurturing children who embody excellent virtues of Islam. The research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of effective parenting techniques at each developmental stage by integrating insights from psychological and evidence-based theories. The study provides insightful guidance for Muslim parents navigating the challenges of raising righteous and well-adjusted children in the modern West. The results presented support the effectiveness of the Islamic model of parenting as it matches the authoritative (balanced) approach to child-rearing, which is regarded as the most effective in nurturing confident children with optimal spiritual, academic, social- emotional and behavioral outcomes.
